On Arrival in Oxford

On arrival in Oxford you will be welcomed at Azad University (IR) in Oxford and taken to your accommodation.

You will receive a welcome pack with essential information and contact telephone numbers. The pack will describe transportation between Azad and central Oxford. It will contain a schedule of meetings and events.



During your first week in Oxford, you will be given advice and information to help you adjust to life in Britain. You will have a guided tour of Oxford. You will be able to meet our staff and other students at social events. Throughout your course, you will have regular discussions with your tutors. You may ask them to review the progress of your study and to discuss any problems you may have.

You will meet the Registrar who will be as well concerned for your well-being. The Registrar will be happy to help you during office hours. After office hours you will be able to make telephone contact with people responsible for your health and safety. Emergency telephone numbers are provided at the end of this prospectus.

Student's study at Azad University (IR) in Oxford can be designed with flexibility and imagination. Students have the choice to proceed along a number of path routes (see here) so as to achieve their educational objectives.

 

Entry into Selected Disciplines

Once students have fulfilled the entry requirements, they may proceed with their selected disciplines as follows:

Route 1 (Research):
Students with appropriate qualifications may opt for a postgraduate degree course by research (MPhil, MPhil/PhD or PhD direct).
or
Route 2 (Taught Courses):
Students may opt for a Taught Course, either at undergraduate level or at postgraduate level, as appropriate to their qualifications (BA, BSc, MA, MSc).
or
Route 3 (Short Courses)):

Students may enter a course that is especially designed for their group by prior arrangement with Azad University IR in Oxford.

Location of Study

Whichever route you may have selected to continue your study, it will have implications on the location of your study. Currently, the location of study will be one of the following choices depending on your study programme:

 

a) Oxford : Certain programmes of study will be offered on site at Azad University (IR) in Oxford.

b) Partner University : Other programmes of study will be offered at partner universities in Britain. Students will share fully in the life of the partner university (e.g. Kingston University) with which Azad University IR in Oxford has established a collaborative agreement.

c) Oxford and Partner University : Joint location programmes may be offered at more than one campus. Subject to validation, this may allow part of the course to be conducted in the student’s home country.
