Azad University in Oxford (AUO) holds a unique position in British academia. As a branch of Azad University (IR) in Iran it represents the high standards in research and scholarship of the second largest university in the world.We welcome students from all over the world and our courses cover a range of subjects in the humanities, social sciences, engineering and pure and applied sciences. As an educational establishment we are fully accredited by the British Accreditation Council and have a sponsorship license from the Home Office.Azad University in Oxford opened in July of 2004 as the first campus of Azad University (IR) in Europe. The purpose here is to build bridges with British academia and to provide an exchange of intellectual and educational opportunities between the two countries. The university plans to open branches in other parts of Europe over the next three years.Our staff are highly trained and internationally minded. Moreover, they are student-friendly and dedicated to higher education and to enabling students to translate their ideals into concrete and achievable goals. AUO's Campus
AUO is located at Stroud Court in the village of Farmoor, on the outskirts of Oxford’s city centre. It is also within easy access of the major road network linking Oxford with London and the Midlands. It is situated in a picturesque rural setting amidst pleasant wooded parkland, with sweeping views of the Oxfordshire countryside.The buildings and private grounds extend over nearly ten acres. The imposing main building dates back to 1905, when it was built as a fine country house, though it has been used as an educational institution since the 1950s. In addition to numerous classrooms, it accommodates offices, a library and a canteen.
Students will have the opportunity to enjoy sports and recreational facilities.
